A Perfect Fit – Every Time!

Hello friends and fans! Are you interested in learning a bit about Stikii’s latest and greatest innovation? We’re pretty sure you are. One of the many new things that we have developed to make our customers shoe-wearing experience more enjoyable is the creation of the “Stikii Size Chart”. The piece is fun, vibrantly colored and serves a very practical and useful purpose!

The size chart is an informational piece developed to help our customers to determine which size shoe will best fit their feet. It is especially useful for e-commerce shoppers, as they are physically unable to stop by our showroom and try on a pair. It is very important to us at Stikii that each child donning a pair of our shoes has the best and most comfortable fit possible. A good fit equals a satisfied and happy purchasing experience – which is Stikii’s top priority.

A bright yellow sole is outlined on the center of the page and resembled that of an actual Stikii shoe. Near the toe, the image is divided into five sections. Each section represents a shoe size. Sizes range from 8-3, from smallest to largest the order is:

  • Size 8/9 (size 8/9 will not be available until Summer 2012)
  • Size 10/11
  • Size 12/13
  • Size 13.5/1
  • Size 2/3

Shoe size is based on insole measurement.

The Stikii Size Chart can be accessed and downloaded from the FAQ page on the Stikii website. To size your child at home, print the chart and follow these easy guidelines:

The child must simply place their foot within the outline, with their heel aligned with the heel on the page. Next, an adult should trace around the child’s foot. Where the top point of the traced foot outline touches should indicate the size required. Instructions on proper use of the size chart a printed directly on the piece, along with contact information. If the foot is too small or too large, don’t worry, we will be manufacturing more sizes soon!

The importance of a proper fitting shoe in a child cannot be stressed enough. Poor fitting shoes can have a serious impact on the future of the child’s foot health. Often the child is unaware that the shoe does not fit, so it is up to the parent and the retailer to get this right. Bones in the feet of children are soft and incorrect wearing of footwear may potentially damage these bones, causing issues in the feet and legs. Measuring a child’s foot accurately is one of the best things you can do for your young ones feet. The following 12 step list was developed to help ensure that you have the right fit for your kid:

  1. Unfasten the shoes
  2. Place the shoes on the child feet
  3. Make sure the heel of the child’s foot is place properly in the back of the shoe
  4. Fasten the shoes to a comfortable position
  5. Give the shoes a quick tug to ensure the shoes are firmly on the child’s feet
  6. While the child is standing rub your finger across the back and the front of the shoe to ensure a good fit
  7. Double check for gaps, especially around the heel of the shoe
  8. Place you hand around the ankles to ensure the shoe is not rubbing against the anklebone
  9. Adjust the fasteners if needed
  10. Make sure the ball and heel are in the right position within the shoe
  11. Check the width by squeezing the sides of the shoe
  12. Perform the walking test: ask the child to walk away from you and then back again. While the child is walking, look to ensure the shoes are not slipping off, that the child is properly balanced and walking normally.

We believe the Stikii Size Chart will help you to find the right fitting shoe for your child, not to mention one that they won’t mind trying on! If you purchase the wrong size for your child, Stikii is happy to accept returns/exchanges for all unworn shoes with proper packaging and proof of purchase.
